You know Owliver Twist, the creator of all life the only owl to ever inhabit Silvermist the source of life well he isn’t a ordinary owl and here's how his story starts… it was a dark night with a storm overhead just listen and you would agree that it’s rumble was as loud as a earthquake. It was pouncing above him. Perched in the tree Owliver sat high in the silvery branches of the misty tree. He was in the heart of Silvermist woods, slowly stirring from his deep winter sleep, once he was well awake he chuckled while watching the tree affectionately reach tickle the stars as they danced. Seizing a chance with the eye of a hawk, to spread his wings he swooped out of the tree and circled the only source of life.

He could feel it. It was coming. Now was the trees time. He had to alert Silvermist. When Owliver reached the tree he suddenly changed his mind “what should I do, I need to tell Silvermist yet I don’t want to, so I guess I’ll warn the tree” he thought but in the end he decided to speak to Silvermist about the problem so he spoke these exact words “The powerful have approached, and I have no right and place to stop them, if we defeat them it will be because of you”. That moment though the storm entered there area, but wait, but it was a different storm. This storm was caused by Silvermist. Lightning cracked in the sky & thunder rumbled and boomed! causing the tree to shake. Owliver shivered in the cold worried about what was going to happen next and his heart pumped in his body frightening him. The owls body was being pulled and tugged at by the wind.

Suddenly it all stopped and Owliver was speechless as nothing the same had ever happened before, though the tree had weakened, in the middle of the broken leaves and twigs from all the surrounding trees was a spirit wolf curled up asleep harmlessly and with each little huff of puppy breath he seemed younger than possible. After 4 or 5 minutes the cub started to stir whispering the name Artemis with leaves whirling around the cub and Owliver granting the cub apprentice and Owliver mentor.Together they were a team, both legends.They’ll protect the tree and defend it against the dark side for years to come.

Kauri Dieback 

The Kauri trees are important to our world and have been here for ages and now they are dying out quickly because of Kauri Dieback which is when we transfer soil from place to place, the soil carries germs and when these germs get into the roots of a tree it slowly starts to kill the tree.

60 metres across from the biggest Kauri tree is another tree and that other tree is infected by Kauri Dieback and both trees are huge so there roots are possibly intertwined and because of that the biggest Kauri tree might soon be infected and die and the trees are useful for shining wood but we should protect them as that will lower the numbers.

   Phytophthora was detected in Kauri on Great Barrier Island in the 1970s and was never thought to spread because of the ocean in between but because of animals and people travelling also our country is famous for tourists but they don't know about Kauri Dieback so they don't clean their shoes at the stations or care for our native trees.

The Tomb

(followed from end of story starter)

Dan had been digging all morning. Along with his team of fellow archaeologists, countless tons and dirt and sand had been removed. At first the mechanical diggers had done their bit, to be followed by spades and shovels. Now, as the team neared their prize, their tools became trowels and delicate brushes.

Hours of sweat and toil in the blistering heat had brought little reward as yet, but things were about to change. Dan stood in front of what he hoped would be the most significant discovery of his career so far, and gently began to untie the knot that had sealed the door for thousands of years…  The rope suddenly slipped from his hands he grabbed the rope as it started to fall sssssccccccrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeccccchhhhh! A noise sounded as he was pulled into the depths of the hole.

Dan lay there sweat running down his face,body aching the Tomb was nothing like he had been expecting to find.He could still hear people in his team calling “Dan!, Dan!” little grey ferrets  scampered around a pegasus with wings as aqua as the sea in the center of bodys with her hoof upon the bodies. “who are you?” said a ferret who had come up to study the human “Dan and my crew above ” said Dan “have you got a healer in your team” “yes, but no”  replied so Dan brought down the healer of his team Sita “how can we help you?” “your healer can help ours” snippidly squeaked the little tabby ferret called Fang so Sita padded over to the pegasus whose name was Airia “clack clack” sounded Sita’s shoes against the flowery floor

As Dan went to tell his boss about the tomb. Crack!,the floor opened with a big crack left in the tomb as the ferret named Fang swiftly leaped on him  “you may never talk about this tomb but you may take some animals who have not learnt their job yet” so Dan cautiously entered the second cave which was filled with Pegasi and ferrets, Hawks and Falcons also Wolves so Dan choose two pegasi, one wolf a hawk and a falcon and a ferret.The falcon was named Esix ,wolf was named Briggin, the Hawk was called Witherwing, the ferret was called Berry and the Pegasi were called Dash and Flow “Our mother is the queen pegasus and fostered the other animals as well as being the healer” Blurted Dash “ squeak, squawk, ar ar” yapped the other animals “she looks after the bodies while everyone else who knows the job guards the tomb entrance ,And your healer, Sita will stay here so don’t make the same mistakes as the others or your body will be laid down here like the others and just then Dan fell… and when he woke he realised it was just a dream and now a memory.

Footsteps shook the ground as the trainer walked away leaving the enclosure unlocked and open to the forbidden fields filled with lush green grass….

A claw reached out from beneath the sharp rocks as the bumpy velociraptor dragged itself out.Crusher the smallest of the dinosaurs scrambled out after his brother ‘’Bramble’’.Rocky who is a pachycephalosaurus and Ashwing who is a dimirondon strolled after the brothers well in fact Ashwing flew. Up the path they ran, eyes glowing in the moonlight. Long uncut branches scraped against their backs taking one last step, Crusher bit his brothers crinkled tail.

They heard crashing in the trees, Rocky collapsed feeling the gravely path he watched the others stop to wait but Rocky screamed ‘ run you idiots’.Shoving the gate it flung open ,the 2 velociraptor’s, Dimirondon and pachycephalosaurus rushed out fast as turbo snails .

1 minute later the park staff heard shouts and screams coming from the forbidden fields.Everyone headed for the commotion. 4 dinosaurs surrounded the commotion grazing peacefully as horse’s.They put them in their enclosure.

6 months later Ashwing had laid an egg.in six weeks time it would hatch a baby.crack , crack ,crack it was hatching time. Rocky ran to help but he saw a little muzzle peeking out soon he could see it’s whole body.It was smaller than usual ‘ we'll call you Smallfoot’ he said And they all played and scrambled around happily ever after.

Appearance

Neptune is a stormy blue planet in our  solar system. Somewhere on Neptune there’s  a blue dot also Neptune will always be hard to see it will always appear as a dot in the sky. At night Sometimes Neptune will appear glow in the dark but really it isn’t.Neptune is as blue as the sea.                                                        

Sun/Size

So Neptune appears as a dot like a star would but it isn’t.It has a radius of 24.622 km and is the 3rd biggest planet in our solar system 4th largest in diameter.The distance between the sun and Neptune is 4.495B km and is 8th back from the sun the furthest from the sun. Because it is the furthest from the sun it takes 165 Earth years to orbit the sun.

Material

Neptune of course is made out of ice and liquid that's why it’s so cold.neptune is also made of 19% helium and 80% hydrogen it also contains a small amount of water and methane.The thin clouds contain methane ice.

Moons

Do you know how many moons Neptune has?well I thought it had fifteen but it has fourteen moons.The largest by far is Triton.Triton was discovered 17 days after Neptune.the Moons are like a old grandpa planet.

Conclusion

Overall neptune is a cold and very stormy planet you would need more than an umbrella.It is sometimes known as a ice giant. As well as a gas giant.

On the 25 December my sister & I woke up at 7:30.Christmas! I remembered.My Santa pack was heavy and filled with presents.

As I tried to lug the pack upstairs my arms went limp with tiredness .My parents said they would get ready.

Luckily a few minutes later my parents were ready.When I opened them I got a beanie boo dragon named sapphire,black togs,a rash shirt,Lego elves set and slime ingredients.

For the rest of the day I was building my Lego elves dragon set ,making slime and playing with my other toys.I can't wait till my birthday.
